"2023 Workshop on the Application of Functional Materials in Socks, Underwear and Apparel", co-sponsored by Shanghai New Materials Association, Shanghai New Materials Association Special Committee on Antibacterial and Epidemic Prevention New Materials, Shanghai Jiecon Chemical Hi-Tech Co., LTD., Qingdao Bonte Ecological Textile Technology Co., LTD., Shandong Hengtai Textile Co., LTD., and Shanghai Gehua Exhibition Service Co., LTD. It successfully held in Conference Room 6 of Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center at 2:00 PM on March 21, 2023.
This seminar was dedicated to exploring the development of new healthy textile materials such as antibacterial, deodorizing, deodorizing, anti-virus, plant original function, skin care and moisturizing and their application in underwear, socks, clothing, clothing, hats, scarves and other industries. It discussed how to improved the added value of products and people's quality of life for these industries under the background of post-epidemic health. As well as how to provided special functional materials to meet market demand, it was not only a professional preferred platform for new product launch, brand iteration, channel expansion and cross-border cooperation, but also a good opportunity to open up cross-border resources and channels and helped the industry build a new pattern of domestic and international double circulation industry.
With SARS, bird flu and the new coronavirus that has been raging for more than three years, people have widely recognized the dangers of viruses. As a new functional material that can inhibit or kill bacteria on the surface of objects, new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials have been widely used in household appliances, automobiles, medical care, textile, daily chemical, packaging, building materials and other fields. China has also formulated and issued a series of policy-oriented documents, such as the Healthy China Action (2019-2030), to guide the economic and social transformation from focusing on treating pre-existing diseases to focusing on preventing diseases, and from relying on the health care system to the overall linkage of society. Therefore, the research and development of materials and products with antibacterial and antiviral functions is of great significance to social production and people's life. The promotion and application of antibacterial and antiviral products is bound to set off a new revolution in the health industry.
The "2023 Symposium on the Application of Functional Materials in Socks and Underwear Clothing" came into being in this context. As a platform built by social organizations and leading enterprises in the industry, it was of great practical significance for enterprises and universities to actively participate in and seriously carry out market-oriented operation, and to deeply discuss the key and difficult issues in the high-quality development of new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials in China in the post-epidemic era, so as to build a broad consensus. Beauty and health industry has always been a key development industry in Shanghai, and antibacterial and epidemic prevention new materials, as an important part of it, are also the focus of the New Materials Association. The application seminar aims to build a common technology research and exchange platform for the antibacterial and epidemic prevention new material industry, build an industrial chain ecosystem with new materials as the main line, actively explore the linkage development of the middle and downstream of the industrial chain, and achieve all-round common development of raw materials, processing, testing standards and specific products through full exchanges and cooperation in multiple professional fields. Today, we were gathered together to discuss the high-quality development of the new antibacterial and epidemic prevention material industry in the post-epidemic era. It is also a starting point for building an ecosystem of new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials that is guided by market demand, closely integrated with industry, university, research and application, and win-win cooperation and integrated development of large, small and medium-sized enterprises. It would play a positive role in promoting the business model innovation of new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials, supporting forward-looking enterprises to seize market opportunities and win broad development space.

He encouraged everyone to improve the capacity for the transformation of technological innovation achievements, to seize the commanding heights of industrial development, to get through the "last mile" of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, to promote the coordination and linkage of innovation, industrial and capital chains, and form regional radiation and driving force. It was necessary to seize the opportunity and build on the momentum to actively promote the integrated development of new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials with other industries, so as to provide new driving forces and cultivate new growth points for the high-quality development of new antibacterial and epidemic prevention materials.

2. Wu Guozhong, a researcher at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has been engaged in the basic and application research of radiation technology for a long time. This report mainly introduced the application of radiation modification of polymer materials and polymer fibers, the technical principle of radiation grafting modification of fiber surface, and the domestic and foreign trends. In particular, the preparation of polymer fibers with odor absorption function by radiation technology and its application in the field of special textiles are introduced.

Mr. Chen Jian, senior manager of biological efficacy industry of SGS standards (Shanghai) Co., LTD., this speech mainly introduced the test method of antibacterial, deodorizing and anti-virus performance of socks and underwear, and focuses on the newly issued test method of antibacterial textiles to inhibit the odor produced by microorganisms and the current test method of anti-virus textiles that has attracted much attention.

5. Dr. Ma Zhengsheng, senior engineer of Shanghai Jiecon Chemical Hi-tech Co., LTD., started from the inner winding of textile industry, and pointed out that the effective way to improve the added value of enterprise products and economic benefits is to appropriately cross the boundary. On the basis of a lot of in-depth learning, cross-border integration can get out of the "red sea" of inner winding and enter the "blue ocean" of improved efficiency; Several examples of the company's cross-border development at present were listed: antibacterial, antiviral and allergic multifunctional fiber, visible light efficient photocatalyst and related products, organic polymer polyester antibacterial masterbatch (obtained "China Chemical Fiber Association popular trend quality supplier").

In this seminar, the participants gave warm applause to each speaker's wonderful speech and actively interacted with the speaker.
